There is little overall difference here with the 2015 Gary Farrell Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard, but this one will truly reward consuming it a bit earlier, through 2022 or 2024. Though it lacks some of the depth and complexity of the Hallberg bottling, it still has the Heredia touch with perfect acidity and terrific polish.
All that is needed as for it to be decanted for about an hour before consuming.
To offset its amazing succulence, there is a balanced, food-oriented approach. This is the wine to buy and consume while you’re waiting for the Hallberg Vineyard wine to mature in the cellar! An absolutely classic Russian River Valley style.
